Dubai is set to host the first-of-its-kind metaverse event in the region. Its mission is to explore how revolutionary technology can be deployed across vital sectors to create a better future and quality of life for humankind.

Organized by Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of v bbg the DFF, Dubai Metaverse Assembly will be held at the Museum of the Future and AREA 2071 on September 28–29.

The event will feature 300 global experts and more than 40 organizations specialized in the metaverse and virtual worlds applications. We are excited to announce that Metalaunchers will be holding a session, as well as more than 30 local and international leaders expected to speak at the two-day event. In collaboration with MetaCon Global, one of the partners at the Dubai Metaverse Assembly, our Head of Business Development Rafael will be representing Metacon Global and MetaLaunchers at the event.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed said, “The metaverse is a promising digital world. We aim to harness this technology to enhance the quality of life in the UAE and across the globe. “We want Dubai to lead globally in adopting the technology of the future, understanding its developments, harnessing its potential, and driving change.”

Charting the future of the metaverse

The Assembly will introduce tangible outcomes, including reports, strategies and action plans that outline the way forward for maximizing the impact on human life in both the real and virtual worlds. Delegates will participate in sessions and workshops to take a deep dive into the metaverse, understand its impact on humanity, discuss the potential of humanizing its applications, and identify the best ways to leverage opportunities across strategic sectors of countries, governments, and companies.

Dubai has a huge real estate market. In the future, people will be able to fly to a community, view the villas and also configure the interior decoration to their liking. Once they’re satisfied, they can pay digitally. It is possible today as some developed countries have taken the lead in this field. In addition the UAE residents will be able to pay bills through the metaverse as well.

Dubai residents will soon live, work, play and socialize in Metaverse in addition to visiting government departments and completing transactions too, says Sharad Agarwal, chief metaverse officer of Cybergear.
